CELIBACY
Amidst what was ALL GOOD pre-sinning (Genesis chapters 1-2), there was an IT IS NOT GOOD (Genesis 2:18). And what wasn’t good was for man to be alone, without a suitable companion.
God made Adam one, and God made EVE not STEVE (Genesis 2:22-23) therefore the loneliness that is not good was rectified by a male with a fetus (FE-MALE), not another male without a fetus (MALE). The same thing with ‘man’ (man without a womb) and woman (WOMB MAN). Science proves better than the Bible can ever do.
Another thing here is that Genesis 2:18 IT IS NOT GOOD FOR MAN TO BE ALONE is not talking about BEING SINGLE, but rather intentional CELIBACY for whatever reasons (religious, cultural or professional).
The New Testament does not advocate for celibacy but for singleness. In the former, the fate of a marital relationship is sealed while in the latter the chances for a marital relationship remain open (1Corithians 7:1).
When the disciples of Jesus opted not to marry, he quickly told them that only Eunuchs are able to do that (Mathew 19:11). In Mathew 19:12, he went ahead to give the categories of Eunuchs:
- From Birth (Impotent) probably Apostle Paul belonged to these eunuchs (1Corinthians 7:7, 26) and he considered it a gift given his Pharisaic discipline.
- Made by Men (Castrated men by Romans of then who didn’t want servants messing up with their relatives)
- Self-made Eunuchs (these were individuals who willingly had undergone the surgery for employment purposes and religious purity reasons).
Jesus argued that for these, celibacy was a default fate but as for whoever had an erection every morning and evening and every ovulating woman, marriage was the way to go.
Later, Apostle Paul condemns celibacy in 1Timothy 4:1-3 and though himself was a minister without a wife he did not shy away or even manipulate the truth but emphasized that a minister who is not a legit eunuch (the Jesus 3 categories) must be married (1Timothy 3:2).
Many Bible teachers confuse biblical singleness to celibacy and I hope this will be rectified as we study.
Celibacy then, Biblically, is equal sinning as homosexuality is. It is against the divine ordination and sinning is the good and bad we do against divine-design. Divinity declared, IT IS NOT GOOD FOR MAN TO BE ALONE.
POLYGAMY
Polygamy is another official sinning against Divine-Design. According to the theology drawn from the Hebrew mythology in Genesis 2:18 when the man was inappropriately alone, the resolution God made was not that he was going to make him COMPANIONS (plural) but a COMPANION (singular).
And while the man had many ribs that could be taken out and be replaced with flesh to make man more than one partner, God took only one and made man one woman (Genesis 2:21). The Devine-Design, therefore, is that men (women too) shall have and live with one living wo-man.
Man or woman can have another partner only if they end relations with the other or if one dies, you are allowed to continue with another but not have two in the neighbourhood, regions or countries. Intimate relationships are by Divine-Design matters of the HEART and GENITALS.
God created you with ONE HEART to give and ONE GENITAL to use. Polygamy is sinning that defies this sexual monologue put in place by God himself.
All polygamy shouldn’t assume that they are not sinning because they are officially married to more than one heart and one genital yet they have one.
The Old Testament writers had no option but to state the truth as it is regardless of the status quo.
The patriarchs and most the righteous men of the Bible were polygamous but even then, the Genesis that was written during and after their existence presented the ideal.
Sinning is sinning, whether legalised or not, celibacy, Polygamy is sinning regardless of political or religious confirmations. Let me ask, who wants to use a used toothbrush however clean it is? Polygamy is sharing a toothbrush and reusing someone’s washed knicker. The good news is that we can all repent and be forgiven.
HOMOSEXUALITY
The sinning of homosexuality is the sinning of our school uniforms. Schools give us same cloths with the same colour, same fashion and same badges. The rationally is not just to identify us from others but to identify us in the school uniform as THE SAME.
The sinning of Homosexuality is SAMENESS. In Genesis 2:23-25 when God made man a companion, he did not make a different version of him. God never made another man with a vagina and a uterus or womb but instead, God made an entirely different human being in physiology and psychology.
Personally, I like curved and bummy women, so my street temptation is to look at bums and this is what I have discovered, and no matter the size of the bum and thigh of a woman, it is soft and shaking and no matter how big that of the man is it is stiff and rough.
It is unfortunate that no-living like-poles do not attract but like-humans created in the image of God homosexual attract and insist it is normal.
Shame upon us, for we have dropped bottom in the animal ladder and now cats and dogs mock our creativity. Devine-Design is DIFFERENCE, not SAMENESS. The term HOMOSEXUALITY is two words and the first word is Homo which means SAME.
Let me ask you if you are working to change why are you sleeping with yourself?
Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t care what sinning you are into, just repent to God and ask for his forgiveness and fixing.
