MARRIAGE Vs. COHABITATION

Marriage: living together (man and woman) legally (civil and society approval)

Cohabitation: Living together (man and woman) illegally (civil and society disapproval).

According to my statistics;

  1. Majority of heterosexual relationships are under the setting of cohabitation.
  2. People under cohabitation again are happier than those under a marriage setting.
  3. People in a marriage setting are more respected, (trusted) than those under a cohabitation setting.
  4. Children raised under a marriage setting turn out to be better and organized citizens than those raised under a cohabitation arrangement.
  5. “Marriage material” people tend to be motivated to covenant in marriage in case their fornication yields a pregnancy, while “Cohabitation material” individuals seal their cohabitation with children (the more the children, the less the hopes of marriage). For some people the more the success, and responsibilities the closer the decision to officially marry comes, while to others, the more the success and responsibilities, the bigger that becomes an excuse not to marry.

I am a heterosexual who believes in marriage. I don’t care how much I have failed, how painful and boring marriage is, how tasking it can be to have a lifelong commitment to one individual who actually never improves but drops day-in and day-out, I know what it means to restrict yourself in one fence without adventures. I know what it means being in a restaurant that has something that it calls a MENU but with only one food on it. I know…I know. But I insist IT IS THE RIGHT THING.

AND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE RIGHT THING AND THE WRONG THING IS IN TASTE. RIGHT THINGS ARE BITTER AND SOUR BUT YIELD LIFE AND FULFILLMENT, WRONG THINGS ARE SWEET AND YUMMY BUT YIELD DEATH AND HOPELESSNESS.

So if you are living with someone’s child and you have not gone to their parents to make it official, please do. Ladies, don’t wait for men to do it, initiate the process, give your man dowry money for the dowry price. And men, if she is not the one don’t waste her chances let her fly so that she can find those willing to honour her.

Dear men, I want you to remember that it is easier for a single parent man to marry than it is for a single parent lady, please help and save the future of these lovely women.
