The book of Psalms teaches us that God is the actual and factual owner of the universe for two fundamental reasons.
1. HE CREATED: According to Genesis 1:1, Psalm 8,19, 104,139, God owns this universe not on the merit of a manufacturer but as a CREATOR. Allow me to point out the distinction here. God is not a manufacturer who needs material for production, God, rather, is a creator who produces out of nothing and brings into existence (creation ex-nihilo).
By creation, God is the real and absolute proprietor of the universe, Earth and all that is in it. That is what Psalm 24:1-2, Deuteronomy 10:14, Psalm 89:11 communicates.
God’s ownership is not a secondary ownership that doesn’t own material from where products are made and neither is it earned ownership where you own upon payment. His ownership is in him being the origin and foundation of what he owns.
2. OMNIPRESENCE: God is the actual owner for him alone owns EVERYWHERE and EVERY-WHEN. God doesn’t make a transfer of ownership for he is perpetual and eternal.
We cannot OWN or actually claim OWNERSHIP of a thing unless it is original with us from its raw form and it is under our charge everywhere we are and every-when (even in the grave).
God forbids us to even sell the Land permanently and assume ownership of land for he argues that it is HIS (Leviticus 25:23).
Friend, I wish I could continue, but I want you to know that the actual-factual owner is God. You don’t own that car just because the logbook reads your name, you don’t own that land just because the title has your name, your landlord doesn’t own that house, the Lord has placed you in that house and it yours by usage, since you, your landlord and the house all belong to the lord.
In case you are in search of BELONGING am here to tell you that you belong to the LORD by CREATION and REDEMPTION.
God bless you, I invoke TRUTH, REASON and FAITH (2Timothy 2:7)
