BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS

Modern Prophets and their unsuspecting followers are excited to know that something similar to what their prophet said came to pass.

Should we then conclude that these boys and girls in sports betting who hit millions in jackpots are Prophets? Can we conclude those from the school of Maama Fiina are Prophets since they get the predictions right? I mean if we are to base on what came to pass to confirm that a prophet is legit and of God, then why would we close some predictors out just because of who/where they were made?

The Bible warns us that a false prophet can still get his prediction right (Deuteronomy 13). Just like I have demonstrated, what modern church Prophets are doing in churches, sorcerers are doing in the shrines. In the book of Exodus, 9 out the 10 wonders that Moses (legit prophet of God) did, the sorcerers of Egypt did exactly the same. No wonder it gave Pharaoh a hard time to believe Moses was sent by God and not just any gods.

Friends, a sorcerer can also use the name of the Lord and stand in a church. That too, the Bible has warned us against (Jeremiah 14:14, Mathew 7:21-23, Jeremiah 27:15)

Secondly, it is not enough for the prophecy to be authoritative and authentic based on its coming to pass. The prophecy must be relevant. There is no prophecy in the Bible that was not relevant to its audience. For Prophet Mbonye to stand and tell Ugandans the German Chancellor is resigning is as good as watching demonstrators on the New York streets over what time they should report on duty. It is good, true but not relevant to whoever isn’t in New York and doesn’t work in that company.

There is absolutely no use at all for a prophecy about Germany to be shared with Ugandans. Germany is not even part of the common wealth. Uganda does not operate under Germany, etc.

In the Bible, Prophets prophesied about Assyria, Babylon and Persians and when you look at all those oracles they were in context with either the current situation in Judah and Israel or what was about to happen.

I used to belong to a certain religion whose prophetess was so obsessed with the United States to the extent that your salvation depended on the policies of the USA.

These are spiritual gymnastics engineered to excite and establish the gullible in error. Prophecy is not Predictive as it is interpretive. The resignation of the German Chancellor must have something to do with the future of the leader in this country at least. If there is none, then this is a deception.

God is full of information and trust me, if you opened his head, you would surely realise there is little of that information in God’s head that you need. We don’t believe God because we know a future that isn’t ours. We follow God because while we don’t know the future, we know he who knows the future. That is why we insist we walk by faith not sight.

Stop following Prophets who are telling you what is going to happen (good and bad) yet they have no power to change it. A prophecy that says: Germany chancellor is in big trouble is very elusive. Is she sick, was she involved in an accident, or? When she resigns then the prophecy has been fulfilled? But the prophet wasn’t specific? I always see these Prophets standing before the crowd and randomly asking, Is there anyone here called Isaiah? The Lord showed me bla bla.

But let me ask, what are the chances that in a five thousand audience there isn’t any Isaiah? Why doesn’t the man of God just state the names on the National ID or actually the NIN number? Am I being extreme here? Well, I will tell you that it is better that way than the deception in just calling a shared name.

If it is a prophecy about politics? Why not start with domestic politics that has a direct impact on your listeners? Why not tell us what is happening, the truth behind, the people behind, how we should behave and what will happen if it continues?

Friends, beware of these false Prophets.
