Recently, the government of Uganda officially included sexuality education in its Academic syllabus at all levels of school. The Minister of Education signed and appreciated the subject on behalf of Uganda’s children.
The Inter-religious Council of Uganda and some Ugandans are not comfortable with the subject(sexuality) exposed to all levels of school. However, the people behind this (UNESCO) insist that it is necessary that our children be exposed to this information as early as possible.
The opposers tell us how evil it is and nothing about how good it is. The proponents also tell us how good this is and nothing about the evil in it.
Definition: Sexual education is informing pupils and students about the physical (direct dealing with one’s genitals and surveying its multiple current and potential functions), biological (sexual reproductive health) , social (man to woman and man to man intimate relationships), emotional (identity, how one as an individual is appreciated based on their sexual choices) , and spiritual (Deity’s confirmation of the individual’s sexual preferences) dimension of their sex/gender.
Fundamentally, sexuality education is about INFORMATION and since information is the good that has ever happened to our generation, we can conclude that this is the fundamental GOOD of the discipline.
The question to ask here, however, is; IS INFORMATION ALWAYS GOOD AND IGNORANCE ALWAYS BAD? Do the disadvantages due to ignorance sexually surpass the advantages due to an informed sexuality or the reverse is true?
If pupils from class 1 to class 7 are ignorant about sexuality, is it safer than them being exposed to the information? I don’t see how it affected my sexuality (as an inquisitive kid) when my mother told me that she birthed me and my siblings through her navel.
I cannot imagine a parent explaining the sexual interval to her child (7-14years) who overheard her screaming and moaning last night.
Why does our modern world assume it is the first to be a sexual generation? How come we did not have, numerically speaking, the same STDs, early childhood pregnancies and unwanted ones, etc as we have in this so-called information age?
I personally think sex education is taught in schools for two fundamental reasons:
- The modern parents are not the biological ones but the academic ones, and since those whose DNA is carried by children have no geography, no time, and no relationship with their biological children, the teachers (academic parents) who share the same geography, who have all the time with these students and closely relate with them than the visiting (VD) parents, will have the final say on their sexuality.
- The world is innovative and has become creative in all spheres of life and living. This innovation does not exclude sexuality. In this field, there is a new invention which is homosexuality. One of the core values of Sexuality Education is RESPECT TO OTHER’S RIGHT TO BODILY AUTONOMY.
This is where there is an obligation to show dignity and respect for all people regardless of SEXUAL ORIENTATIONS or GENDER IDENTITY. Our children, from class one to the university, are going to be indoctrinated about the truth about both HETEROSEXUALISM and HOMOSEXUALISM.
All this is engineered by the west and since our politics thrives and survives on their AID. We have to suffer the AIDS of the AID. (I hope am understood here).
It is therefore incumbent on us to revive our parenting and become not just biological parents to our children but also be their teachers as well. We must begin the system of HOMESCHOOLING and make sure we detoxify our children from the toxins of this generation. We must be vigilant, informed and critical thinkers to make sure we objectively win an argument fostered by the devil in such syllabuses.
Pastors and Preachers must up their game and help parents and their children. Teachers must be of good will and tune the message in their presentation where they are not directly supervised. We need to pray and invoke GOD’S activeness in this whole matter.

Oh yes. I think I agree with what the author of the Song says. Wake not love before its due time.
If children cannot handle certain academic concepts at certain levels, why would anyone assert to impose such a phenomenon at such an age.
