Here’s why I honour Prophet Elvis Mbonye: https://observer.ug/viewpoint/58525-here-s-why-i-honour-prophet-elvis-mbonye.html
I see three things in this:
- Biblically this is blasphemous. It is the worship of man in the disguise of God.
- Logically this is technical ignorance. The followers of this magician are educated in other fields but not in the very field (Theology) they authenticate. (ATAMANYI SENTE NAMU AYINZA OKUMANYA ENFU?) If one doesn’t know an original note, can they determine a counterfeit? To them, Mbonye is a prophet of God since he knows what will happen in Hollywood.. (regardless of what that has to do with their salvation relationship with God). These people are too excited to remember that Mbonye cannot beat a legit priest in the African Tradition Religion (ATR) Jjajja Mutuula ku’ngo in predicting the future. So because they don’t know an authentic note, every paper that has BANK OF UGANDA (God) is legit.
- PUBLICITY There is nothing as powerful as publicity and this is a positive thing I see in this, these are people who have believed in their prophet and have taken the initiative to publicise him all-over.
Do you talk about your Jesus Christ and what he can do wherever you are? Imagine we Christians are not confident enough to talk about a right thing and these people with false prophets are selling them like hotcakes.
We all have told people (friends and families) about restaurants with good food, juice, services etc. We have referred people to good doctors we know, mechanics, etc.
But can you confidently refer people to your pastor and assure them he has answers to their faith questions? Are you confident and sure your pastor is legit enough and can survive a Biblical test?
