Today I had a discussion with one of the elders in the SDA church and he told me how he missed our fellowship and asked me to always send him audios of our teaching at the fellowship. He went ahead to say that he uses these audios to teach in the church where he is placed.
He intimated to me how helpful these audios have been and how the lives of the people at the church that he was sent are being converted. Well, I told him iTiS is not very far from his reach and no one stops him from attending as he used to do except himself.
I told him he should come back and attend since the audios recorded by the people at the fellowship are always too big to share And he said, that his mission was like that of the former IGP, he intends to overthrow the SDA teachings from within, I told him he will end up like the former IGP, given that he is not the one in charge of the formal structures.
I assured him that he is too small to eat the institution, I told him that having known the truth that his institution does not know, it has placed him up and the institution (bigger in size and structures) is down, the more, therefore, he tries to pull it up, the weight will eventually overwhelm him and pull him down instead.
The brother thought about this for while and came up with another example: He reminded me that General Museveni went to the bush with a few fighters but he still had people like Bidandi Ssali who remained in the governments of then who actually helped him in the liberation struggle. He told me am the Museveni of today and he is the Bidandi of today so I should work with him and always equip him with the information he needs to undo the lies of the SDA in the heads and hearts of the followers.
I appreciated this wisdom and reminded the SDA church elder that Museveni did not have a mission to take charge of a DISTRICT in Uganda, but his mission was the WHOLE UGANDA.
The great commission of the Gospel is not only to the SDA. God has sent us to the world and the process is that we begin from where we are but never to end there. Again, the commissioner (Jesus) has categorically reminded us that our role is to preach and not to convert. Whenever our gospel is appreciated, there we share and whenever it is heard and rejected, there we dust our feet and head to another city. It is important that we understand how the OFFENSE of the gospel works.
We have a huge field, we should not be deceived by the devil to waste our resources on INSTITUTIONS that Jesus never died for. We should not confuse and misrepresent the Gospel of Jesus Christ by preaching it in the overalls of religion or actually saying one thing and doing another thing. We must remember that we cannot be right and have a right and peaceful relationship with what is wrong.
We must decide and go out and work for our economy and quit the jobs that compromise our belief and mission altogether. You cannot be hungry and have bills to pay and expect to tell the truth confidently to those you expect financial help from. We have no option but to let our spouses and children know that this is who we have become.
We must be prepared to start afresh, we are not just breaking-off but deconstructing our sociology altogether. We will keep a few friends, we will need new ones, our entire sociology will vanish and we will have another. THIS IS PART OF BEING BORN AGAIN.
We have no option but to leave the world where we have been SOMEONE and SOMETHING and go to another where we will be a NOBODY and a NOTHING for a while. Many people will not do what Abraham did (Genesis 12:1) leaving family, friends and where you know to where you don’t know. Many honourable people will not leave honour and become nothing for a cause as God did (Philippians 2:5-9).
Painkillers like established ministries might not accommodate us holistically, these ministries might offer a few things but not all that we want. They might have a good service for your children but nothing for you, others will have everything for you but nothing for your children.
It is at this moment that you need to look closer at each and see which ministry can be built to suit your spiritual needs and work with it to completion.
Jesus picked the concept of RABBI and he became a rabbi too. However, the difference was that he was a rabbi who served his followers while other rabbis were served by the followers. If you are not just a business person, or a person after some status, or actually a mere churchgoer, there is no place for you in these institutions. You cannot be an entrepreneur in someone’s business.
People like Paul and myself have no option but to build an ANTIOCH because, though Jerusalem is set and has everything, it doesn’t represent our mission and Biblical conviction. The reason we must start the revolution is that every establishment at one time BEGAN.
We are beings of belonging, however much we prune ourselves to fit, some outfits ain’t designed for us, and unfortunately, the marketplace might be hungry for our efforts to provide exactly that divine outfit of what we know the Bible says as opposed to what it has been made to say. And that requires nothing less than a DECISION.
Always remember a decision is an ignition. Gears don’t matter until the automobile is ignited. I don’t know what is holding you back when you actually know the right thing to do.
We all know there are no billionaires by salary, we all know a graduation is not a miracle but a product of a particular process, we all know marriage is a graduate level of a particular way of relating. Your business needs to change but that change must be ignited it you don’t no one will.
I have learnt that until we ignite, we might never learn how to drive. Am wondering where the first driver learnt driving from? I wish I could continue but I want to know that the greatest individual in the world, had to leave everything and ignite salvation.
