No offence but the Catholic Church, ever since it instituted the wrong doctrine of celibacy, has struggled with the sexual offences committed by its holy men. I would rather that the Priests be castrated to help them uphold the celibacy vow than leave them with active tools but forbid the practice.
Recently, CNN reported about a conversation that Pope Francis had with a Chilean Catholic Church victim (Juan Carlos Cruz) who was abused (by Fernando Karadima) since childhood and turned him into a homosexual, Cruz had a conversation with Pope Francis about this and the Pope said to him:
“You know Juan Carlos, that does not matter.
God made you like this.
God loves you like this.
The Pope loves you like this,
and you should love yourself and not worry about what people say.”
Apart from Pope Francis contradicting with the Catholic Catechism (unless it has been updated) which says: (I quote from here (http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/_P85.HTM):
2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.” They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.
2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. The Pope is wrong in telling this young man that God made him LIKE THIS, God loves him LIKE THIS. And for sure, the Pope being human, just like any of us, might love this brother LIKE THIS (matters of preference) but I, Isaiah White T. Mutabazi do not love this brother LIKE THIS.
Yes, it doesn’t matter what people always say when they are WRONG but it matters a big deal what they say if they are RIGHT.
The Pope is a Theologian and I am sure he knows what the Bible teaches about the relationship between God and homosexuals (Genesis 19, Leviticus 18:22, 20:13, 1Corinthians 6:9, Romans 1:26-27, 1Timothy 1:10). But because he is a political leader (like all religious leaders are), he compromises the word of God to make sure socio-political economy of his world is served.
What the Pope knows and deliberately doesn’t want to tell the brother is that: GOD LOVES THE SINNER BUT GOD HATES THE SIN OF THE SINNER.
If God loved us LIKE THIS (SINNING), he wouldn’t have come to die on the cross (John 3:16, 2Corinthians 5:21) to save us from SIN and its sting which is DEATH (1Corithians 15:56).
To tell a homosexual that God loves you LIKE THIS is to tell a prostitute that God loves you like THIS. It is to tell the THIEF that God loves you LIKE THIS, the lame that he made you like this and loves you LIKE THIS, the sick that God loves you LIKE THIS and actually made you LIKE THIS.
We shouldn’t be selective here. Let us agree that whatever evil people are doing it is God to blame and not Satan and neither should we hold these people responsible, but God.
I am dark skinned and Pope Francis is light-skinned. It is logical to conclude that God made and loves Pope Francis and Pastor Isaiah LIKE THIS, and therefore, it is against God’s will to discriminate either based on their colour but fallacious to establish slavery based on the colour of both. (I hope someone is following).
God, in fact, made you a MAN, not like a man. You are a MAN or NOT period. You are a WOMAN or NOT period. We have different sexual organs designed to be used specifically and God made them like that and likes them like that. Our choices beyond or below their design is a system breach that God never made and neither likes.
Am not homophobic and neither am I against sinners, I just don’t like the psychology of moralizing sin and including it in our sociology.
Recently, Elton John, who is a homosexual in a same-sex marriage (in which he serves as a wife) performed at the British Royal wedding. I would appreciate if he attended but to grant him a podium and perform is to tell the world that GOD loves him LIKE THIS and he wants to continue using him LIKE THIS. WE MUST ENCOURAGE GOOD not EVIL.
Unfortunately, the Pope is shaping the public opinion the wrong way.
