NUMBERS 5:11-31 SCANNED: TRUST ISSUES IN MARITAL RELATIONSHIPS

Quick question: Do you trust your spouse? How much? Don’t you have any doubts and suspicion? Why? Are you jealous? Why?

THE STORY:

The jealous man who smashed his girlfriend’s laptop after seeing a photo on her Facebook page and suspecting an affair… only it was a picture of Mitt Romney

A violent, overbearing boyfriend punched his girlfriend and smashed her computer after becoming jealous of a picture of Mitt Romney posted on her Facebook page.

Lowell Turpin, 40, of Anderson County, Tennessee, had accused live-in girlfriend Crystal Gray, 38, of having an affair after seeing a mysterious man on her Facebook page.

When Gray told Turpin that it was, in fact, the Republican presidential candidate, the 310lb man refused to listen and his verbal abuse turned physical.

He was eventually charged with domestic assault and locked up.

In relationships, we struggle with this issue of jealousy and many have committed crimes against their loved ones that they have regretted. The Jealousy is not just about being possessive but at the same time being suspicious.

Jealousy is cowardice love that lacks confidence. Jealousy is searching and researching for facts upon which trust should base on yet TRUST essentially means the absence of facts and proof.

What we see in the book of Numbers 5 is God helping all of us in relationships with this problem. We might not deal with Jealousy as the ritualistic Jews did, but we need to understand three fundamental lessons here in addition to what I have already shared:

  1. We must be careful with our Jealousy not to be destructive (verbally and physically)
  2. We must always understand that whenever our jealousy breeds suspicion, our spouses become suspects subject to investigation, intelligence and we begin spying on them, which makes them vulnerable.
  3. While unfaithfulness on either side (man or woman) is bad, it becomes worse when it is the woman who is unfaithful, for that actually puts in balance whose DNA our children carry. Women should be more careful. therefore.

I suggest we trust our spouses enough and we leave their phones, computers and all gadgets alone. In relationships, there is nothing as healthy and safe as IGNORANCE. Trust me, if you knew everything about her/him things might never be the same.

90 out of 100% marriages survive and thrive on IGNORANCE and edited information, Let not your jealousy seek for the truth that will break you forever, take time to grow and harden, for future facts.

I suggest we spare ourselves (some of us) from some truth as long as we cannot manage and handle the truth.

Stop suspecting your friend, and making conclusions, what you see is not always what you get. This world is filled with FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL so breath in and out, compose yourself and take charge of your jealousy, not the reverse.

I wish I could continue.

God bless you, I invoke TRUTH, REASON and FAITH
