There is that kind of confidence that we human beings tend to have in poor things. Like that confidence your child has in you as a father that you can literally beat-up all men in your neighborhood. Well, parents like me, know the truth, but our poor kids keep causing trouble with the confidence in the weak us (parents). Same way all of us who are adulterous put our trust and confidence in these breakable and disposable papers known as Condoms.
Some time back, professionals were teaching us at iTiS Well of Worship Fellowship about HIV and they shared this analogy:
IF YOU STAND IN A CROWD OF 100 PEOPLE AND A GUY WITH A MACHINE-GUN SHOOTS INTO THE CROWD AND YOU REALIZE THAT THERE IS 1% SURE (100%) CHANCE TO BE SHOT, WOULD YOU STAND IN THAT CROWD?
My answer was NO
What is yours?
Listen, my dear sister and brother, a condom is not responsible for your life, you are. I am not saying you shouldn’t use them, all am saying it is a Gamble. And I wonder why you bet with your life. Your life is not an emergency, stop setting your body in an emergency mode.
TEST BEFORE YOU TASTE
DO NOT HAVE YOUR CONFIDENCE IN A CONDOM, HAVE IT IN CHRIST. You don’t need a condom to control the events, you need to be in charge.
