The UNPARDONABLE SIN is NOT a VERB (what we do) but a NOUN (who we are).

It is not what we do but who we are independent of Christ our righteousness. (2Corinthinans 5:21). Whatever a sinner does will be forgiven, only and only if he surrenders to Christ and there is a transaction for SIN to Christ and Christ’s righteousness to the SIN-MAN.

So as we all know GOD forgives SINNING but SIN is unpardonable. Now you have to understand that blasphemy means intentionally rejecting what you know is truth in order to establish your own truth. Blasphemy is not mere belittling of the Holy Spirit or just despising but rather knowledge and confirmation of His truth and boldly and soberly rejecting it. That is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Now that is not SINNING but that is the essential identity of SIN and it is what God does not and cannot forgive but fights.

Sinners who reject the means of salvation provided by heaven (Ephesians 2:8-9) and opt for theirs are not sinning but they establish themselves as sin and by default qualify to be the unpardonable sin.

Why? Because they have chosen so and the God who created volitional beings has no option over a sober Choice made by these creatures.

Come us reason together… Regardless of your sinning…says the lord.

No sinning he can’t cleanse or forgive. He died for all. It is only too late when you are in the grave or out of your mind but while hear and sober. You can choose to transact your sin for his righteousness. This righteousness is for our eternal destinies. Well, you might be struggling with sinning right now, but be a processed sinner rather than a raw sinner.

A processed sinner is one under the work of the holy spirit, he in whom the Holy Spirit is cultivating fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22), he who obeys the commandments (not the Decalogue= Galatians 5:18) of God which is love (Galatians 5:13-16).

A raw sinner, on the other hand, is one at work, (Galatians 5:19-21) he keeps the law then breaks it, then works it back himself, then realizes he failed. Then starts over again and again. He does it all by himself and needs not help nor pardon. You see when your world view has two terms: OBEDIENCE and DISOBEDIENCE, you know you don’t need any other help when you disobey but to OBEY again. So where there is a disobeyed law, you don’t need Christ or his cross but to just do the needful and OBEY once more, so the process of trial and error continues until you die and die guilty. This is the unpardonable sin. It is when the Holy Spirit does its three foundational roles in John 16:8:

  1. Convicts you of Sin
  2. Convicts you of Righteousness
  3. Convicts you of Judgment

But you still take matters in your hands. You start solving the problem of SIN by obedience to the Law, you look at righteousness in form of moral rituals and eventually you assume to stand in judgment before God with a record of the things you have done right as compared to others. (Luke 18:11-14). Do you see how the Pharisee and the tax collector were not judged upon what they did but basically on who they were?

Always remember that the Bible says in Galatians 5:4 that: You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from Grace.

Friends God does not have a PERFORMANCE SHEET, it doesn’t matter when you came, if you come, you will still get the same reward aka eternal life. So work on who you are and be a sinner covered by the blood of Jesus Christ and be under his righteousness which is apart from the law (Romans 3:21).

We are not saved on what we do, but rather on who we are. If we declare ourselves as sinners who can’t fix it ourselves but in need of help and help external, then Christ does not essentially fix us absolutely but covers us with his righteousness to qualify. But if we are sinners who think we can fix it ourselves then that is who we are. We are independent of God and that is who we are.

However much he would love to pardon us through his universal cross, it has no effect on us, because we have not chosen, not because just we are bad people (after all everyone is) but because this who we are on this matter. We are just unpardonable. Now let me ask: How often do you listen to the small still voice of the Holy Spirit? Do you hear him anyway? Is he loud and clear? Okay, how often do you choose his ways over the noise of your carnal mind?

Well, that is how WHO WE ARE (CHRISTIAN IDENTITY) is formulated from time to time until we climax to pardonable-ness or unpardonable.

God bless you.

  1. The principal-principle function of the Holy Spirit has intrigued me. Let me abide in the righteousness of Jesus Christ in whom I become the righteousness of God. Whenever I am tempted to think I can DO this,I cannot DO that I submit to Christ. Whenever I realise I am weak I surrender all.
