The only reason why we should trust God with our lives is because God is a parent who does not use family planning pills but takes family planning seriously. Trust me, he has a plan for even the most hopeless and helpless individual on earth. We did not fall from heaven accidentally, we were designed, conceived and born. Let’s stay in the lane and let him do what he does best.
Your future is not in your degree or academic letter. Trust not in the government. The government officials are responsible for their families, not you. Trust in the lord, do not cry or castigate the government. Don’t complain but pray to God. Do not restrict yourself to what you studied. It is very unfortunate if you went to school to get a job. Shame upon you, for the job you spent three to five yes studying for, others have it without the hustle. Sit down and find something to do, and do all you can as long as it yields. Do not compare yourself or compete with anyone.
While at the University you sat for the same examination paper. In real life the question paper is different, so don’t assume that anyone is better than you are. No one is better than the other. We are just different. Don’t fall into the trap that has been set by the consumer and materialistic world where people are defined by the types of cars they drive, their smartphones and all sorts of gadgets, the houses they live in or own, the jobs they do, the clothes and shoes they wear, the make-up, and hairstyles. Calm down, my dear sister and my brother. We are people. We are not things.
Begin small and grow to stay permanently. Lastly, I want you to understand that life is is a choice and like I have always taught at out fellowship, there are three kinds of choices:
- The choices made for us
- The Choices we make
- The choices not made.
All these affect and effect our progress. You never chose to be born, two individuals in the names of your parents did, and here you are. If you are my age and started school in a kindergarten, then trust me you never chose to go to school. Tt was a choice made for you. The policies that govern and determine your economy are made by the government. What your girlfriend or boyfriend chooses is a choice made for you. I wish I could continue. You have no power over the making of these choices but you can choose over them and learn how to maneuver and navigate around them.
Then there are the choices you make. Trust me, I can’t tell you there is a bad and a wrong choice, in this ram shackled and broken world. Good and bad might seem relative, but what matters is that you should not make a choice without enough information. Gather as much information as you can before you decide…
And finally, I want you to understand that not choosing is also a default choice. So don’t stand there and be a master complainant or super commentator of the success and failure of others. Your degree is not in analyzing issues, it is about action. Do something about it instead of just saying something about it. Leave the analysis and saying something about issues to us the Pastors, Theologians and Philosophers, that is our work. We use our mouth and pen to change the world.
Otherwise Congs and welcome to the real world. I know you got a first class degree or second upper, and the majority got Pass degrees, but I want you to know that all these were degrees focused on ANSWERING QUESTIONS and trust me, that was ACADEMICS. Welcome to the EDUCATION UNIVERSITY called LIFE where the exam is not about answering questions but ASKING QUESTIONS and asking the RIGHT QUESTIONS.
- What will i eat?
- Where am I going to stay?
- Who am I going to marry?
- How am I going to pay back?
- Where can I find you?
- Do you have a vacancy ?
- Who is in charge?
- How much do they pay?
….and more…but all questions not answers.
God bless you.
I invoke Truth, Wisdom and Faith.

Thank you Pr. White. I would like to share with you my shock after having earned my Master of Arts in Linguistics of Makerere University of Kampala Uganda.
You see, I went back to university with two CAUSES and two BECAUSES. The first cause was out of fear for losing my university teaching job and the second was my passion for language,to be specific English Language. The first because was to see that I cement my teaching position at Kyambogo university and to increase my financial value. Financial value here refers to my demand in monetarily and transferring from secondary school level to at least private university.
Shock 1. To my discovery,Teaching at secondary school is better than teaching in private universities.
Shock 2. I have learnt that having a job is different having work
Shock 3. One can lose two things:making a name at his place of work and making a name on those he works.
Shock 4. There is a thing as working but not getting anything done’
Shock 5. Payment does not lie in my qualifications but in what I can do.
