Christ as the End of the Law

Question: What does Mathew 5:16-19 all about in light of Pauline writings about end of law (in brief)

Answer: Jesus as the second REPRESENTATIVE ADAM has in the same flesh done (through his life, death and resurrection) for man (humanity) what the first REPRESENTATIVE ADAM (Edenic fall) failed to do…for humanity.

And since the first Adam passed on DISOBEDIENCE to the entire humanity and nature regardless of their participation as long as they existed and looked like him (we are born inclined to sin and we born failures)…..so the second Adam passed on his OBEDIENCE to whoever identified or will identify with him through faith….and those without this opportunity to choose (babies), will be saved as nature is and this can be determined by an omniscient being (Genesis 3:17;  7:2)

That is what the term FULFILL THE LAW in Mathew 5:16-19 stands for…please read Romans chapter 5 and Genesis 3.

When we believe Jesus Christ….the law switches it’s use and functionality upon us from salvific to social order.

Whoever does not believe in Jesus has to obey the law for eternal destinies…and they surely die as guilty as charged after obeying the law by the letter….but we who believe Jesus do not have to obey the law for eternal destinies but for present circumstances….and before God….Romans 8:1 declares:

There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus

For the law has been satisfied on our behalf and we cannot feed it anymore….whoever doesn’t believe the sacrifice of Jesus to be enough, has but to feed the Law with their lives and bodies.
