The devil is a liar .… people teach others to observe what they cannot observe themselves….I have always told people that we are saved by Grace through faith…and some are stuck to the ideology of “”WE ARE SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH THAT WORKS”” for FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD…(Quoting the book of James out of context) James was talking about philanthropy and humanitarian aid for casual life survival but not salvation for eternal destinies… meanwhile as far as salvation from SIN (power) and it’s sting DEATH (inevitable effect) is concerned…we are saved by Grace through FAITH… PERIOD.
WHOEVER INSISTS ON “WORKS PLUS FAITH OR FAITH THAT RESULTS IN WORKS” FOR SALVATION HAS A “DEAD FAITH”….DO YOU KNOW HOW & WHY?
Because working out the Law means working it whole and observing it in letter and dot:
1-Mathew 5:17-18= THE LAW IS HERE TO STAY AS LONG AS THIS CHAOTIC WORLD (heavens and earth= Isaiah 65:17; 66:22) STAYS…to maintain social order. And for Christ to save man he had to do (works) what the man had failed in and that was the Law which he came to Fulfill and yes he did (John 8:46, Luke 23:14= Christ obeyed the Law perfectly to the dot and letter… something you and I couldn’t do…he did for us). And as we speak today the LAW has no debt on us in matters of salvation (eternal destinies)…it is just here to help you maintain order in a chaotic environment…but not for salvation. In salvation matters utilizing the Law is blasphemous and therefore an unpardonable sin.
2-James 2:10-11= THERE IS NO EXCUSE ONCE YOU PLEDGE TO KEEP THE LAW…YOU KEEP THE WHOLE LAW AT ONCE WITHOUT DEFAULTING ANY…FOR ONCE YOU KEEP NINE AND FAIL IN ONE…YOU HAVE MESSED UP THE REST (WHOLE)…so if you can …please do.
3-Colossians 2:8-17= As far as salvation is concerned let no one confuse you with philosophies and doctrines (vs 8)…do you know why? Because salvation is only possible in a specific place… and that place is “IN HIM” (IN JESUS CHRIST ALONE AND ONLY)…(vs 9-12). ..how are we saved in him?
~vs 13: First, we were DEAD…in our trespasses (Rom 3:10-12,19-20), then we were MADE ALIVE (just made alive again without our help) together with him…and then we were FORGIVEN ALL our sins.
~vs 14: secondly the previous agreement of us being saved through our obedience to the Law was cancelled, torn apart and thrown away…LEGAL COVENANT NULLIFIED. so for salvation matters the legal code is no longer binding. This is what happened to it: (a)- It was CANCELLED (b)- SET ASIDE and (c)- NAILED TO THE CROSS. it is upon you to reverse this if you have the audacity.
Now that is it for Colossians chapter 2:12-15… please read carefully…
The Bible now turns to answering this question: if that is all that happened, SO WHAT? In answering this question the Bible says:
In Colossians 2:16 that: “THEREFORE” let no one pass judgement on you basing on what was NULLIFIED, SET ASIDE, and NAILED…and these are nothing but the LAW.
Whoever does this is a hypocrite and nothing but the real anti-Christ…do you know why? Because they are telling you to do what:
1-is irrelevant: (Rom 3:21; Gal 2:21)
2-is finished (John 19:30)
3-cannot be done and they themselves are not doing…(Matthew 23:1-5)
Mathew 23:1-5 Jesus said: Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: 2 “The teachers of the lawand the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3 So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.4 They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.
5 “Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long;
