REBECCA KADAGA IN SHRINES
First and foremost let me put history right: the Western missionaries did not bring CHRISTIANITY to AFRICA….they instead brought RELIGION. CHRISTIANITY is not RELIGIOUS… CHRISTIANITY is CHRIST-LIKE….it advocates for the GOSPEL and not the GOSSIP and SUPERSTITION of human anthropological cultural norms. CHRISTIANITY unlike RELIGION advocates for a kingdom who king is Jesus and the rest are Princes and Princesses but not superiors and inferiors as it is in RELIGION/CULTURE.
The Westerners through Kenya brought here three fundamental RELIGIONS:
1-Catholicism (Romans)
2-Protestant Anglicans (British)
3-Islam (Arabs)
All these were but a specific synthesis and a baptism of another cultural god (Judaism) into dominant political powers like: the Romans, the British and the Arabs….(and nothing has changed today).
Meanwhile when these Westerners came here they found other RELIGIONS all under one umbrella of African Tradition RELIGION (ATR), which they influenced,manipulated,and gradually disguised replacing it with their modern hybrid of a combination of gods and God. First they subdued the conservativeness of ATR and later the RELIGION evolved to become an indulgent liberal thing and that is how we have the Catholics owning shrines, Muslims practicing the same….etc. you can be anything and religious…mama Fina is a religious too.
I personally think Hon. Rebecca Kadaga did the right thing as a Catholic … Because RELIGIONS like:
1-Catholics
2-Anglicans
3-Muslims
4-Orthodox
5-Seveth-Day Adventist
6-Pentecostalism
7-etc
Have no ideal difference with the ATR…many RELIGIOUS leaders are in white robes and on pulpits during day times and in shrines during the night…take an example the kabaka of Buganda who is the high priest of the Buganda kingdom cult has a seat in these cathedrals…when he had a Prince outside wedlock all religious priests celebrated….when it comes to Pentecostalism so-called pastors they are typically witchdoctors in the name of Jesus…the rest it is the same with Mama Fina.
So Kadaga did exactly what all religious leaders do in the time of ecclesiastical elections…in my former RELIGION (SEVENTH-DAY Adventists) priest visited witchdoctors to secure a conference office….the only difference between Kadaga and religious members is that this time round (since it wasn’t her first time) she did it in the light.
And this brings me to my point of congratulating the Honorable Speaker…thank you madam for walking in broad daylight…you are not a hypocrite like many of us…it is easier to preach to Rebecca and Mama Fina than it is to preach to Kakande, Yiga, etc….those who exhibit a different thing and do otherwise.
Finally I invite all of you who are stuck in RELIGION and cultural norms to take on Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and let him the Holy Spirit take charge of your lives…. Amen.
