When those you look alike, share a clan with and tribal names and perhaps geographical origins mess up. Let’s say you are a Munyankore and the Banyankore are power hungry and crafty dominant and oppressive or you are a Muganda and the Baganda are undressing to unlock padlocks. Don’t fight and curse in defense of your tribe or color. It’s that simple. Just dissociate with what is wrong and train your children to always disassociate with failure, pass it on. Always connect to success. Never let something like a tribe or clan which is a human creation and not divine ordained have a hold on you and get you to a point of defending it with tears and blood. Declare you are not, and associate with soberness aka CHRISTIANITY.

Look at South Sudan, look at the Middle East. Do you remember Kenya? (elections are about – watch the space), look at the US and its ethnic problems.

People, let us focus on the fact that we are HUMAN BEINGS more than we focus on our HUMAN BECOMINGS

YOU ARE NOT YOUR LANGUAGE
YOU ARE NOT YOUR GEOGRAPHY (God has no map of this world, maps are our own creation to promote our selfishness and have a justification for our evil)
YOU ARE NOT YOUR RELIGION
YOU ARE NOT YOUR POWER/INFLUENCE
YOU ARE NOT YOUR WEAKNESS/MEDIOCRITY
YOU ARE NOT YOUR GENDER/SEX
YOU ARE NOT YOUR SOCIAL CLASS/STATUS
You just became all that and since you became that, you can as well become something better and more useful.
Since the worst is at its worst and now that we are stuck with national geographical boundaries with identity cards and passports. At least let us look at ourselves as a nation as opposed to as clans and tribes.
PRACTICAL EVIDENCE. ……..YOU ARE A HUMAN BEING…..YOU ARE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD….PERIOD.
Stop telling your children that they are this tribe and that they are not this or that. Just emphasize their humanity and grow their humanity. Don’t emphasize language but rather endorse communication and communion. In fact, if need be, drop all the clan associated names and defy all the tribal traditions and norms.
IF WE DON’T REDEFINE OURSELVES, AND EMBRACE A NEW IDENTITY, WE ARE DOOMED. EVERY GENERATION WHICH WILL SUCCEED MUST EFFECTIVELY ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:
- WHO AM I?
- WHY AM I HERE?
- WHAT IS WRONG?
- WHAT IS THE SOLUTION?
How you answer those questions determines your:
- ATTITUDE
- PRAXIS
Whoever brought these differences we indulge should tell us what he was solving.
BE PROUD TO BE HUMAN, AND NOT ANY OTHER CIRCUMSTANTIAL INVASION. Now I know people might involve God in this ruckus but I want to assure you that the least God might have created is race but not tribe and its tradition. For that matter, WE ONLY SEE ONE BIG FAMILY FROM GENESIS 1-10 WITH ITS ISSUES DUE TO THE FALL. AND TRIBES ARE USHERED IN AFTER THE FLOOD AND BABEL.
The story of Babel is important for several reasons:
- It explains the beginning of and reason for the various languages of mankind.
- It probably explains the origin of the “races” within humankind. The separate language groups no longer could intermarry freely with the rest of mankind. As inbreeding and lack of access to the larger pool of genes occurred, ethnic characteristics developed. Furthermore, each local environment tended to favor selection of certain traits, and eliminate others.
Ethnic characteristics, such as skin color, arose from loss of genetic variability, not from origin of new genes through mutation, as suggested by evolution. The concept of race is an evolutionary idea (Acts 17:26). All humans possess the same color, just different amounts of it. We all descended from Noah and Adam.
The Bible doesn’t tell us what skin color our first parents had but from a design point of view, the “middle color” makes a great beginning. Starting with medium-skinned parents, it would take only one generation to produce all the variation we see in human skin color today. In fact, this is the normal situation in India at present. Some Indians are as dark as the darkest Africans, and some—perhaps a brother or sister in the same family—as light as the lightest Europeans.
There are families from India that included members with every major skin color you could see anywhere in the world.
I wish I could continue but whoever will quote you a scripture in defense of a tribe in the rest of the Bible beyond Genesis 1-2 will be referencing from the post-sin point of view. The only sobriety we can draw from the Bible as far as this matter is concerned if from Galatians 3:26-28. (Please read)
