Conversation with an SDA Pastor

Yesterday I had a discussion with one of the senior pastors in the Seventh-day Adventist Church and he wanted to know why am so confident and firm about my position on the denomination. Isaiah what really pushes you to do what you do, without fear.? Why is it so light and simple for you to challenge the status quo and despite all, you maintain your position. Tell me my son, why?

MY ANSWER

Well pastor, thank you for talking to me, first I would like to tell you that I have no problem with the institution, my issue is with wrong theology that is turned into dogmatics that directly and indirectly determines the praxis and destiny of poor innocent (lack of technical know how) believers. That is why am always on the neck of everyone who says : THIS IS A FUNDAMENTAL BELIEF…my issue with such is: CAN YOU PROVE BIBLICALLY???

let me now turn to your question and I answer you. There are three reasons as to why Isaiah-White is who he is in these matters concerning the SDA:

1-Isaiah-White has no BIOLOGICAL TIES with the SDA. 50% of the SDAs I have met are in that religion biologically not spiritually. Leaving it is leaving family and staying in it is staying with family…it is a religion that bolts family lines. As for me…I have none. Unlike me some have married there, others need wedding funds from them. I have lost everyone SDA, including those I married. That is how detached I am.

2-Isaiah-White has no shop nor any business whose market or even clientele base is the SDA,,,15% of the middle class religious members of this institution are economically attached to this SDA religion…so they just can’t wake up in the morning and risk the absence of bread on their table by telling off the source of bread its weaknesses. And that includes you pastor… You and I know very well how we should edit the word of God and incorporate institutional policy…

3-Isaiah-White has proven to be biblically right and in all meetings the SDA has called him to, he has proven beyond reasonable doubt that the SDA has one fundamental problem: mixing sociology with spirituality… And turning policy into doctrine by baptizing human thoughts with scripture through the habit of PROOF-TEXTING.

for those reasons pastor…am confident and I don’t mind.
Pastor: Okay…my son have you ever thought of a possibility that you might be wrong?
Me: Very often I do, and every time I think of it, I realize how am wrong to even imagine that I might be wrong to conclude that we are saved by grace through faith alone.
Pastor: I will call you again.
Me : thanks pastor.

Dear friend, do you see how your environment conditions and limits you forever….you are born with the same company and die with the very same one. You cannot develop beyond the scope of the people you know. When you open up the new world, you are denounced by your former world…and the only crime you have committed then, is to be DIFFERENT…people consider you family only and only if you are the SAME….it doesn’t matter how right you are or how wrong they are…just be the SAME.
