THE NATION, THE DEBATE, and THE CANDIDATES – PART III

THE CANDIDATES

Allow me now quickly give you a basal analysis of the Uganda presidential candidates of 2016:

Joseph Mabirizi: “Every market has its mad man” and every election has its Ssebagala. No offense.

Maureen Kyalya: this is a problem of infatuated but uneducated imaginations and ambitions. Am just wondering where she got the idea. Madam Betty Namisango Kamya looked worth it as opposed to this sister of mine who had the audacity of calling our politically powerful women dummies. Well, the world sees who is a dummy prescription between her and them.

Baryamureeba Vanantius: Every village has its academically genius but unproductive professor or elite. Former vice president “Professor” Bukenya is equal to the current presidential candidate “professor” Baryamureeba. One wonders: what happened to professors!!!!!? What image are they portraying!! Is this how professors should behave.

Benon Biraro: every war has its casualties…this historical soldier is a probable causality of the past wars. He is not one who is injured physically but one who suffers in ideology and in emotions. He is a colleague to General Tinyefuuza who changed his name to Sejjusa. The UPDF should look into these psychiatrical issues to rescue the civilians from these former fighters in their late age but with bullets and bombs reaction in the head (thinking & perception).

Abed Bwanika: Smartest muganda I have witnessed running for presidency… But not known beyond Buganda region. Now imagine such a president. He has all the facts and wisdom..but no one understands neither knows. He has issues in a society that does not vote for issues but for emotional attachments. He is so misplaced….and imagine he is not a professor neither an engineer. Well all he can do is start small…let him go to Parliament, get a ministerial post…get known…then come. There is nothing as powerful as starting small and starting naturally.

Amama Mbabazi: There is no nation that does not have filthy rich (relatively) men. Who have only one stage left on their human development triangle which is: SELF-ACTUALIZATION. Mbabazi is that man to Uganda, he has seen everything, had all the power, money and access and the only thing remaining is the presidency. “Ultimate Power”. His candidature is not about the people of Uganda but about himself. He is actually a Mafia whose agenda is to be in charge and in control and that is the only way he can feel satisfied and fulfilled. Power corrupts but absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Kizza Besigye: This man is a honest gangster. He has faithfully stood with his people and hasn’t betrayed them…his approach however is not diplomatic (just like any gangster), and he is convinced in his heart that, Museveni is the primary problem of Uganda. All gangsters capitalize on opponent leaders not leadership of contemporary gangs… He is an opportunist but a sagacious one though,,,his party (FDC) has stayed intact because he makes sure all party leaders get their share of the foreign political party aid. His moral authority is like a coin with two sides:
1- His fellow party leaders benefit financially and politically (second biggest lot in Parliament)
2-He excites the public by his aggressive gestures, fighting the police, tear gas, walk to work, now it is defiance and so forth.
This guy is just but a political business man and a political gangster.

H.E. Museven Y Kaguta: This is a seasoned leader who is suffering with POWER. His problem is not how to get power, or even consolidate it. He got power in 1986 and he has consolidated it since then both within and beyond the Ugandan boarders. While mugabe is Africa’s most known president (negatively)…President Museven is the most influential African politician (east and central Africa). So his challenge is now on how to RETAIN POWER, and INFLUENCE regardless of whether he is the president or not. For him being the president is not as important as being influential to both the presidency and the people of Uganda. He has performed and he is celebrated in the region, he however needs to cement this…and in the process he is running a risk of hurting his past crowns, but the risk is worth it. If he scores in his final years, he will never be forgotten.

In fact his 2016 campaigns are not about the President’s office, noo..that is just an NRM party agenda. The real mission and intention of the president (Museven) is to asses, evaluate and confirm his achievements that are to function as the rationale of his popularity both within Uganda and beyond. This will help him amass the pedigree he hunts for. And in the process, whether he is the president or not…he will retain: INFLUENCE and ADVANTAGE (a politically modified nelson Mandela of East Africa).

The interesting thing about Museven’s ambition unlike all other candidates, is that people are the beneficiaries if he scores his goal. The more he struggles to impress and perform, the more services become better…vote for Museven as you pray that our country breeds more and more of the sorts of Abed Bwanika and the rare kind of Yoweri Kaguta Museven.
